Hope kept it's tradition by having our annual Memorial Day Service at the Marlette Park. The Lord held off the rain once again as we honored Him along with those who have served our country. Pastor Paul gives a short message then we have Phil Cooper who gives us, through his personal experience, a soldiers perspective on serving in an active war zone and what motivated him to carry on in the face of fear and danger. Mary Gratton, Bella Hinojosa and Sarah Gratton interpret with passion the message of the song, Warrior, by Steven Curtis Chapman. And finally Rick Sugden walks us through the meaning of each fold of the American Flag which was very moving and inspirational. If you weren't able to make this service please don't miss this how special this service was! |
